Reading to Very Young Children

Today I read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
to our youngest granddaughter- almost 4 months old. She loves it and is quite fascinated by it. I hold her hands sometimes and let her touch the book. The bright pictures are wonderful for babies to look at. There is also a coloring book that is about this book, I bought it somewhere years ago- it is uncolored in still, but I copy the pages for grandchildren and preschoolers and they color the copies.
What a wonderful post! Your blog is off to a delightful start....=) Your grandbaby is so sweet! We have only 1 grandson and he is down south...love'em to pieces.
