A wonderful new book about knitting and a little girl who loves to knit!!!!! Knitting Nell,
by Julie Jersild Roth, arrived on my porch the other day, via UPS, and has fast become one of my favorite books. I look forward to reading it aloud to my group of kindergartners soon! Julie Roth is a very talented writer and illustrator and her site has lots of informantion- even about a Good Scarf project that would be a great idea for a class or school to do!!!
I actually discovered this lovely book on a lovely blog that Fiona in Australia writes. Fiona made an adorable Nell doll complete with little knitting bag, balls of yarn and needles. After I saw that I HAD to order the book. Thank you, Julie and Fiona for the lovely work you have both done!
